Imagine how intimidating it would be to be a 16 year old kid, having to be the anchor and driving force behind this band of seasoned professionals, most of whom have been touring for 2 to 3 times as long as you have been alive.

We only hear the lead synth right at the beginning intro and for the subsequent chorus its absent. So when it finally returns once again @2:30 till the end, it wraps up the song beautifully and gives me goosebumps

I hear Vedder singing and Jim is echoing inside my head. Can't do it. Turned the sound off. At 73 now I bought the Doors when they were fresh and it wasn't just their music, it was a frame of mind. What a rare and special time it was, never to be repeated. The last flowering of mankind. Hall of Fame? Is there a special room there just for the Doors? They are a stand alone, stand apart and above the rest gem.

Eddie vedder is just amazing everytime and the legends of the 60s and 70s know it and they welcome him and see him as thiers. Its amazing he fronted for the who and took to the stage with the stones , tom petty , bruce springsteen and so many others. He has really lived the greatest rock star life of them all

Grew up with this band and the memories from the music at that time was my escape. At the age of 13 living in NY with my parents mom would say"you really like that music"?? It was 1968 and "The Doors" were my band. I will be 69 this year and the "Doors" still do it for me when I just want to "escape with my own thoughts". What Ray said about 1967 was spot on. We have come to a different place in our lives today...it is sad we still have much to learn about loving each other and respecting each other no matter what color we are. Peace to you who remember the way it use to be. ✌😉
